My Story
Growing up, I would explore the woods by our home and
find a favorite place to draw, read and write.
My makeup journey began as a child watching my mother
and older sister apply makeup before going out. I would
draw faces and “make them up” with colored pencils, until I
was allowed to wear makeup as a teenager.
I studied oil painting, attended Rhode Island School of
Design and Massachusetts College of Art, earning a BFA
in Illustration.
I live in Connecticut with my husband and our two dogs, and
am a mom to a fine young man. Originally from Rhode Island, I
treasure having grown up by the ocean.
I love museums and books of art, Shakespeare, romantic
literature, poetry and movies. I am inspired by the colors in
nature, dappled sunlight and the moonlit sea. I write in cursive,
love the sublime and mysterious, old trees and beautiful
architecture. I enjoy dining out and am on a quest to find the
best tiramisu.

My love of capturing people’s likenesses on paper and
canvas evolved into being asked by friends to paint their
faces with makeup.
I immersed myself in the beauty world and became an esthetician
to extend my knowledge of makeup techniques and skin.
I use my skills in brushwork and color to create a work of art each
time a client entrusts me with their most important events.

Do You travel for Out of Town Events?
Yes, I accept bookings for out of town events. I request accommodation for locations over 1.5 hours away with an early start.
How Long Does It Take for wedding morning services?
We request 30 minutes to set up and pack up, 45 minutes for adults, and 75 minutes for the Bride. For instance, a Bride and 3 bridesmaids would require 4.5 hours. We aim to finish when the photographer is due to arrive.
Do You accept Bookings without a Pre-Wedding trial Session?
If you would like a trial before booking to test product sensitivity I recommend contacting me as soon as possible as I do not hold wedding dates. If you have had a trial more than 8 months prior to the wedding, I recommend a makeup and hair preview 1-3 months prior to the wedding if your original vision has changed.
do you have a minimum amount to book a wedding?
Mobile services start at $500 for me as your makeup artist. An additional makeup or hair artist will have a minimum of $500. Minimums may be waived off-season (November-March or weekdays, Mondays-Thursdays).
Do You Work With additional makeup artists and hairstylists?
Yes, I subcontract additional artists and hairstylists trained specifically for weddings, depending on the size of the event and your specific needs.
